Children           & Youth

Nursery Care

Our caring and knowledgeable volunteer staff is available on Sunday mornings starting at 10:15am to supervise infants and toddlers ages 0-4. Child care is also available during special services and other church events, and our nursery is always available to parents and young children for play and fellowship.

Spiritual Funtime

Sometimes kids just need to be kids!  At Spiritual Funtime (9:15 on Sunday mornings in the Yellow Room), kids up to age 10 can draw, play, watch cartoons, and hear a short lesson on God's love for them.  It's a perfect lead in to...

Children's Choir

On Sunday mornings at 9:45am, children ages 3-10 are invited to the choir room to participate in our Children's Choir, which sings once a month at our 10:30am Sunday morning worship service.

Several studies have shown that learning music at an early age, especially singing with a group and performing music in front of others, helps children to succeed in school, enhances mathematical skills, improves social relationships, and helps them to become more confident and resilient.

No prior music experience is needed to join, and children can begin at any time! Please contact our music director  with any questions you may have.

Children's Chapel

Children ages 3-7 are invited at the beginning of our 10:30am Sunday morning worship service to follow the crucifer to our children's chapel.

Led by a rotating group of volunteers, this experience mirrors the Sunday morning liturgy and prepares children to appreciate more fully what happens in our regular worship. Children participate in singing, prayers, and an interactive storytelling experience of the day's Scripture, along with activities that engage the children's interest and thinking about those stories.

Children return to the Sanctuary during the passing of the Peace and are welcome to take part in Holy Communion.

Youth Group

In addition to Youth Formation, which takes place over lunch after the 10:30 Sunday service, our youth also get together for a variety of activities, including: visiting Ronald McDonald House or the Community of the Franciscan Way, and seasonal lock-ins! Stay tuned to the website and social media accounts to find out what's next!

Our youth also take part in semi-regular lock-ins, as well as a variety of diocesan youth events such as Happening, Genesis, and Bishop's Ball.

Many of our youth also serve as acolytes during the 10:30am Sunday morning worship service. All kids, regardless of age or experience, are invited to serve!

Backpack Pals

On the third Sunday of the month after the 10:30 liturgy, children and youth come together to pack"backpack pals" in the Parish Hall. This outreach program is geared specifically towards children and works with area schools to provide nutritious meals to kids who lack access to healthy food over the weekends.

Meals are packed into plastic bags and then delivered to area schools, where they are discreetly distributed by school officials to the children who need them most. This wonderful project helps our children and youth learn the importance of helping others.

Stay connected.
